On a level of cultural irony/ self-referential post-modern slippage/ whatever (I looked that up) the Coen Brothers, using 90’s Los Angeles B-side Hollywood tropes as a starting point/ springboard, have offered us something timeless, something reverential (God, watch this guy go!).

But seriously. I turned on the TV. I was, like, what, 25? I had just rolled and smoked a Swazi. The Dude was chatting to Walter. I walked in about halfway. I sat down. Done. How many times have I stepped back in? How many times have you? No? Obviously you’re not a golfer.
