Ok, look. When I first heard about Tiktok, I thought it was all Afrikaans. And then when I heard what an amazing thing it was I was, like, go Saffas, getting ahead in the world, people will start taking us seriously. First Rugby, then a social media platform thingy. Then I heard it was Chinese and I got even more confused, which is saying a lot. Now, Kitchen Dutch tells me they’re all “tikkoppe” so I am beginning to believe it’s all a scam and that the Capetonians are involved in a buy out bid. Probably all smoking it up on the mountain, which is where all the clouds come from. Can I go now?
