As an aside. Do you know when Clint Eastwood joined forces with Don Siegal on the Dirty Harry project and hired scriptwriter Dean Riesner for the job, one of the first rewrites had Callahan holding the gun to the temple of the robber before pulling the trigger, but they reckoned that was too rough even for Harry. I don’t know. I reckon we could have gone with the body horror version rather. Maybe.
